Gloria Cohen, MD

Dr. Cohen, a Canadian native, earned her medical degree from the University of Ottawa (Canada) in 1980. She earned both her undergraduate degree and a B.Sc. in physical therapy from McGill University in Montreal.  She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the Canadian Academy for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Cohen has amassed a great deal of experience in sports medicine and family practice.  She is in her 10th year with the Columbia University athletic program.  She was the coordinating head team physician for the Canadian Cycling Team for 14 years.  She was also the team physician for the Vancouver Canadians Triple A baseball club for three years and physician for the Toronto Marlboros Hockey Club .  In addition, Dr. Cohen was a member of the medical team for the Canadian Olympic Team in five Olympic Games – 1988 (Seoul), 1996 (Atlanta), 2000 (Sydney), 2008 (Beijing) and 2010 (Vancouver).

Dr. Gloria Cohen is a Sports Medicine Specialist for Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists in Greenwich, Conn.  She concentrates on Primary Care Sports Medicine, Women's Sports, Injury Prevention and Biomechanics.
